While Thanksgiving fell on 28 November this year, FOCUS could not wait to celebrate this festival! We held an early Thanksgiving dinner on 26 October 2013 at the Carribean Condominium. 

 

Despite the heavy downpout that night, there was an encouraging turnout of local families, as well as Singaporean and international students from more than seven countries in Asia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There were many enjoyable moments during the icebreakers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course, there was much feasting as well. including the traditional turkey and ham.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also spent some time learning about the origin of Thanksgiving, and sharing with one another what we are thankful about. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, we rounded off the night with a musical performance by Matthew Quek, a local singer and songwriter, complete with lots of dancing and sing-along.
